MFL Translation Bee Huge congratulations to Year 8 students Dimitar, Lakshmi, Tariq and Adhul for reaching the London final of the Modern Foreign Language Translation Bee competition held at the University of Westminster. Competition was fierce, but all students performed brilliantly. We are incredibly proud of their achievements.
These students have just completed their ART Externally Set Assignment (10 hour exam). Since January they have been developing work for the exam in a sketchbook, researching and analysing artists, recording and refining ideas and then finally producing a 10 hour response.
Mathematics students entered the ‘Count On Us’ competition recently. There were numerous games which were both challenging and fun which really tested mental mathematical skills. Year 9 and 10 at The London Youth Games The following pupils represented the school superbly when helping out at the London Youth Games recently: Maywon, Abigail, Iara, Kishany, Kayllem, Faith, Aissatou, Romaine, Luke, Twahir and Emanuel.
Year 7 Basketball team win the Croydon Cup. We are very proud of our Year 7 boys who were recently successful in the basketball competition. The team consisted of: Joao, Johanssel, Mickhi, Miguel, Reece and Cam’ron.
Year 10 Football The Archbishop Lanfranc Academy came second in a futsal tournament against other mostly year 11 boys recently. The boys should be particularly pleased as for many of them it was their first experience of futsal. The players representing the academy were: Desmond, Twahir, Cordell, Corey, Luke, Emanuel and Roja.

Lanfranc Community Supports Former Student’s Family The Archbishop Lanfranc Academy community raised well over £1000 to support funding to save the life of the child of a former student.
