The Coloma Trust, through the R.C. Religious Congregation of the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, has been providing education in England for over 140 years. Coloma Convent Girls’ School has been judged ‘Outstanding’ in all four Ofsted inspections, the most recent in September 2009. Mrs Martin, the Chief Executive of The Coloma Trust has been Headteacher at Coloma for 15 years. Coloma consistently has had one of the highest GCSE and A Level exam success rates of all comprehensive schools in the country.
The Quest Academy – Coloma Trust opened in September 2010, replacing a school that stood on the same site. It is a non-academically selective secondary school for girls and boys aged 11-18. In its first three years, results improved dramatically, with the percentage of students passing 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C rising to 94% in 2013, from just 57% in 2010 at the predecessor school. The Quest Academy has received Ministerial recognition as one of the Top 100 Most Improved Schools in the UK and was awarded the “Secondary School of the Year” accolade in November 2013.
